1 Ingredient
Sunfiber® PHGG (Taiyo Kagaku, Japan)
Guar fibre that's been partly broken down by enzymes, so it keeps the fibre but loses the thickness and the grit. That's why it vanishes into a glass of water instead of turning it to gel — and why it's low-FODMAP and gentle enough to take every single day.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is Deep Impact®️ SunFiber?
Deep Impact's SunFibre is a soluble fibre made with 100% SunFiber®️ partially hydrolyzed guar gum (PHGG) from Taiyo Kagaku, Japan. One ingredient, 3g per scoop, with no sweeteners, flavours or fillers added.
What does "partially hydrolyzed" mean, and why does it matter?
Guar gum in its raw form is thick and gel forming. Partial hydrolysis is a controlled enzymatic step that breaks the fiber down into a smaller, lower viscosity form, keeping the fiber content and the prebiotic activity, but removing the thickness. That single manufacturing step is the difference between a fiber that turns your drink to slime and one you cannot detect at all.
What makes Sunfiber®️ different from generic guar fiber?
Sunfiber®️ is Taiyo Kagaku's patented PHGG, produced in Japan to a consistent specification. A label that just says "guar gum" or "guar fibre" tells you nothing about whether it has been hydrolyzed, how far, or how it will behave in water. It is this difference that determines consistency with fiber supplementation. Sunfiber does not gel and dissolves completely in water which makes it easy to consume every day.
Why 3g per scoop?
We formulated around a dose people will actually take every day, in a serving small enough to disappear into a drink. Sunfiber®️'s own clinical work showed measurable fullness and reduced all day snacking from as little as 2g, so 3g clears that threshold with margin. Fiber research runs up to 15g a day safely, so if you want additional fiber content, you can take more than a scoop a day at your discretion.
Will it really not change the taste or texture of my drink?
No change at all. Sunfiber®️ is colourless, odourless and tasteless, and because it is non viscous it does not thicken or go slimy the way psyllium or generic Guar does. Stir it into water, coffee, tea, juice, curd, dal or a protein shake and you will not be able to tell it is in there. This is the single most common reason people stay consistent with it.
Will it make me gassy or bloated?
It is low FODMAP and ferments slowly along the full length of the colon rather than all at once near the start, which is where gas comes from with inulin and FOS. In a 12 week double blind, placebo controlled trial in IBS patients, PHGG significantly reduced bloating compared with placebo, and less than half as many people dropped out of the PHGG group as the placebo group.
How is this different from psyllium husk (Isabgol)?
Psyllium works mechanically. It swells into a gel that bulks up stool, and that gel is the thick, gritty texture people dislike, you have to drink it fast before it sets. Sunfiber does not gel at all. It works by feeding your gut bacteria rather than by bulking, which is why it can go into a hot coffee or a clear glass of water without changing it. If psyllium is what put you off fiber, this is a genuinely different experience.
Can it help with constipation? What if my problem is the opposite?
Both, which is unusual. Most fiber forms help in one direction only. In constipation predominant IBS, PHGG improved symptom scores, stool form and objectively measured colonic transit time. In a separate trial in people with loose stools, it significantly normalised stool form back toward the healthy middle. It settles things rather than simply pushing them one way, which is why you do not need to diagnose yourself before consuming it.
Can it help with appetite, snacking or weight?
It supports fullness after meals and, in Sunfiber®️'s own trials, it significantly reduced whole day snacking at doses as low as 2g. It works by supporting your body's own fullness signalling, not by suppressing appetite artificially. It is a food supplement that makes eating less feel easier; it is not a weight loss drug and does not replace one.
Who is this designed for?
Adults who want to close the gap between the 25 to 40g of fibre a day recommended by ICMR–NIN and the 15 to 20g most urban Indians actually eat. It suits people with unpredictable digestion in either direction, people managing post meal energy crashes or early metabolic risk, people trying to snack less, and anyone with a sensitive gut who has already tried and abandoned psyllium or inulin.
How and when should I take it?
One scoop daily, stirred into anything, at any time of day. There is no need to take it on an empty stomach or wait before eating. If your priority is fullness and steadier afternoon energy, take it with or just before your first meal. Keep your water intake up through the day, as you would with any fibre.
Is it vegan, and is it free from fillers?
Yes on both counts. SunFibre is 100% Sunfiber®️ PHGG, which is plant derived, with no sweeteners, flavours, colours, anti-caking agents or bulking agents. The ingredients list is one line long because there is genuinely nothing else in it.
Is it safe to take every day, long term?
Yes. PHGG has a long clinical track record, including use in enteral nutrition, and across the published trials doses of up to 15g a day were sustained for months with no significant adverse events reported. It is a food, not a stimulant or a drug, and it is designed for daily use rather than occasional relief.
Can I take it if I am pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication?
Please speak to your doctor first. Fiber is a normal part of the diet, but we would rather you check with someone who knows your history than rely on a product page.
